Professor Kuldeep Kr. Pandey began his career at Banaras Hindu University in 1988, earning his MD (Ayu) in Shalya-Shalakya Tantra in 1991, then serving as Senior Resident in Sangyaharan (ayurvedic anesthesia) at the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, and completing his PhD in 1994.
He currently serves as Head of the Department of Sangyaharan. He focuses his research on pain management, modernizing historical methods of anesthesia found in ancient texts of Ayurveda, palliative care, clinical treatment of cancers, and medical aspects of Sangyaharan.
In addition to his expertise in anesthesia, he uses marma therapy in clinical practice. He has a Diploma in Yoga and a BSc in sciences from the University of Allahabad and four years’ training as the Medical Officer of modern Anesthesia at IMSS Hospital of BHU.
He has guided 11 PhDs, with eight current PhD students, and 28 master theses in related subjects.
